About Dr. Shingo Yano
Shingo Yano MD is a board-certified fellowship-trained subspecialist in Pain Management at Modern Pain Consultants. He received comprehensive instruction at the country’s preeminent Pain Management fellowship program-Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Yano is prepared to offer the widest range of treatment modalities to treat painful conditions including the full scope of interventional pain procedures, medications, and works closely with a network of capable health care providers/specialists.
Dr. Yano attended the University of Chicago for his undergraduate studies in economic theory. He attained his M.D. from Rush Medical College. He completed internship at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Specialty training in anesthesiology was performed at Washington University in St. Louis-Barnes Jewish Hospital. His medical education culminated with subspecialty training at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Yano has practiced solely in the field pain management his entire medical career. He has practiced in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and Michigan City, Indiana. Dr. Yano wished to join Modern Pain Consultants as he regarded the practice to be professional, possessing robust relationships with esteemed medical practices in the area, and supportive of his desire to deliver expert pain care.
He is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain management.
He has also attained certification from the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Board of Pain Medicine, Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice, and American Academy of Pain Medicine.

After I I scheduled my appointment and receiving confirmation I took next morning 70 miles drive to see Doctor hoping to get help with my spine pain. Unfortunately when I arrived to the office I was informed that Doctor has busy schedule and does not have time for me. I was also instructed that even system conformed my appointment I should call in the morning to make sure that this appointment is existing in office schedule.
Such bed experience with health care system.

The Zocdoc app actually failed to book the appointment. I showed up, thinking it was booked, and they were able to fit me in to see Dr. Yano. That was greatly appreciated!!!
