About Dr. Shira Eytan
Shira Eytan, M.D., F.A.C.E., attended Rutgers University and graduated with honors. She then received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Tel Aviv University-American Program. Her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine were completed at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. She subsequently completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Eytan has presented at multiple regional and national conferences, including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology and the Endocrine Society.
She is ABIM double Board Certified in Internal Medicine as well as Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and is licensed in the state of New York. Dr. Eytan is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. Her specialization includes all aspects of general endocrinology. She believes in a patient-centric, whole-body approach to endocrine management.
Dr. Eytan also serves as a review editor for Frontiers in Clinical Diabetes and Healthcare and as a reviewer for multiple health publications such as Health Central.
