She places a strong emphasis on psychoeducation, helping patients understand their diagnoses and management options so that they can make informed decisions about their health. She strongly believes that physical and psychological health are inseparable, and that any psychiatric treatment plan must have a holistic approach in order to be successful. Dr. Raj completed her undergraduate work at Brown University and earned a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She went on to Psychiatry residency at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program HLPRTP where she served as a Chief Resident in her final year. Following residency, she pursued further subspecialty training through the Brigham &amp Womens Hospital Fellowship in Behavioral NeurologyNeuropsychiatry. She has published several book chapters on psychiatric and neuropsychiatric disorders. She is a codirector of the Harvard Medical School course Neuropsychiatry A Comprehensive Update and continues to serve on the Harvard Medical School faculty, teaching and mentoring in the fellowship program. Dr. Raj sees patients in the NewtonWellesley office.
