What should a new client know about working with you?
Patients can expect a compassionate, supportive, and collaborative approach when working with me. I believe mental health care should be personalized, respectful, and centered around each individual’s unique experiences and goals. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable being open and heard.
My approach combines evidence-based treatment with a whole-person perspective, recognizing the connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I work with children, adolescence, adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, and life transitions, and I partner closely with patients to develop treatment plans that align with their needs and preferences.
I value open communication, education, and shared decision-making. Whether treatment includes medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle strategies, or a combination of approaches, my goal is to help patients feel empowered, supported, and equipped to make meaningful progress toward improved mental wellness.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My approach begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where we discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle factors, stressors, and treatment goals. I take time to understand the full picture so that we can develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
During follow-up visits, we review your progress, discuss any changes in symptoms, evaluate how medications are working if prescribed, and address any concerns or side effects. I believe treatment works best when patients feel actively involved in the process, so sessions are collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you achieve meaningful improvement in your overall well-being.
In addition to medication management, I incorporate supportive therapeutic techniques, psychoeducation, coping strategies, and lifestyle-focused recommendations when appropriate. I also encourage coordination with therapists, primary care providers, and other members of your healthcare team to support comprehensive care. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.
