You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you're heard and never rushed. Sifat values clear communication and shared decision-making, so you always feel informed and involved in your care. Beyond medication, she draws on CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, problem-solving therapy, and psychodynamic approaches to help you build coping skills and lasting stability. Her aim is to help you feel more stable, focused, and in control, with care that is consistent, responsive, and tailored to your needs as they evolve.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation where Sifat takes the time to understand your current symptoms, history, goals, and what matters most to you. From there, you'll build a personalized treatment plan together. Care includes thoughtful medication management with ongoing reassessment, plus brief supportive talk therapy as needed. Session frequency varies based on your needs and where you are in treatment, and if you're already working with a therapist, she's happy to collaborate with them on the medication side.

Sifat Ara Ameen is honestly God sent. Mere words cannot express my sincere gratitude. The safe space was created almost instantaneously, allowing me to feel open relaxed and comfortable. She was caring, compassionate and straight forward. I felt so much better and lighter after our first session, it was like the anvil of emotions that was weighing me down had suddenly been crane lifted. She gave me so much clarity and insight on what to do next in my life. Our session was such a pleasurable, wonderful and insightful experience.
