As an obese woman, I was pleased to find that the provider was kind and non-judgemental. Even when discussing what I needed to do to catch up with previously lax healthcare, she was gentle and matter of fact. She took the time to explain orders she was prescribing, and to answer questions.

Highly recommend this place, very clean and friendly atmosphere. I saw Sofia Beals CRNP, and she made me feel very safe and comfortable. If you have anxiety about doctors visits or what will happen during it she will put you at easy and make the whole experience easy and comfortable.

I booked Sofia based off of her reviews and she definitely did not disappoint! Sofia is very kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I went for a check up but also needed resources and referrals for other specialty doctors and she pointed me in all the right directions. I also love how she is willing to follow up with me to check in and make sure I understand all my test results and hold me accountable for doing my part of following through on our plans (I procrastinate a lot lol). She’s great and I plan to continue coming to her!

I would highly recommend this office and Sofia to anyone, especially those who have felt unheard or not cared for by their previous doctors! She listened so attentively to a condition I’ve been dealing with for a few years and asked questions to further figure things out. She was kind and let me speak, immediately ordered bloodwork that was taken in the same office (no waiting around for a bloodwork appt.), and suggested a quick follow up to go over results and next steps. I’m eager to go back, which has never happened for me with a PCP!

I arrived knowing I had an ear infection or a fungal ear infection. I drove 45 minutes to the office. On the way I was requested to fill out paperwork. When I arrived, I was informed they were just then checking my Medicare which I was informed was not active. It was suggested I make another appointment during which time my ear drum could rupture or pay the full office fee to be seen. I paid only then to be told they could only prescribe meds and to go to the hospital if it got worse.

I have really bad health anxiety and haven’t been to the doctors in about 5 years. She was super nice and understanding. She talked through everything with me and i 1000% would go back to her and recommend her to all!

The doctor was great, she listened to my concerns, she was patient with my medical anxiety’s and helped mitigate my fears. She sat with me and didn’t rush me. Honestly, it was the first time I felt heard in a doctors office. My husband and I both see her now.

She is getting results and clearing things up for me. She was not judgmental and she was very understanding. I liked her so much that I am changing my whole familles PCP and or other things that we need to deal with. The office is clean and very friendly and welcoming.

Exceptional Care at Altheda Medical Center!
I had a truly great experience at Altheda Medical Center in Kennedy Township, just outside Pittsburgh, PA. From start to finish, the team made me feel welcomed and cared for. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The medical assistant guiding me through triage was incredibly kind and professional. A special thank you to Dr. Sofia—warm, caring, and genuinely engaged. She took time to talk with me, not just about my health, but also everyday life. It felt personal, never rushed. They also offer same-day appointments, which is incredibly convenient! If you're looking for a primary care provider in Kennedy Township or a clinic near Pittsburgh, I highly recommend Altheda Medical Center. The staff listens, cares, and delivers compassionate, patient-centered care.

The office was very clean and lovely, and staff were very professional and personal. Not their fault, but their call to get Medicare eligibility check delayed my seeing anyone by more than one hour. This was frustrating to them as well as me. They apologized, and the visit went well thereafter.
