My medical info was loudly discussed in front of other patients. I was not listened to about symptoms and case details. I did not get to see the specialist I requested to, instead was given a random primary care nurse.

As someone who works in the medical field I was frankly kind of baffled by the treatment from this NP. She did not seem to listen to anything I said and repeatedly misunderstood my clearly stated medical history. She seemed to be half-listening the entire time and was content to write down wrong information than take the time to ask clarifying questions. She also did a poor assessment for my physical and once she found out I was a nurse her demeanor changed completely. A person should not have to be a healthcare professional to receive quality care and attention. This was near the end of my visit, so the damage had been done in regards to the lack of listening to me. I would not recommend this provider.

The staff is friendly but whatever you do, do NOT see Sonya Chang. She spent the entire appointment asking me the same questions on repeat & not listening to my response. I’ve had a chest cough for 4 weeks that won’t go away. She asked me 4 times if I was on a cough medicine. Each time I said I was on Delsym but it was clear she didn’t know what it was. The 5th time she said she would recommend a cough syrup & I should be fine & I said (again) I was already taking one but it wasn’t helping. Halfway through the appointment, she said “why are you on a prenatal if you’re not pregnant?” I said (again) that I am 27 weeks pregnant. She said “oh I didn’t know. This must just be acid reflux from pregnancy.” She then told me she couldn’t prescribe me anything because I’m pregnant & antibiotics aren’t safe for pregnant women. Horrible experience from start to finish.

My experience was disappointing. I arrived 15 minutes early, but no one was at the front desk to check me in. After waiting, a nurse said someone would be out shortly, but it took another 10 minutes. The check-in staff barely acknowledged me. I waited over 30 minutes in the exam room for the doctor, who spoke quietly, didn’t make much eye contact, and seemed disengaged, focusing on her screen. She assumed I was straight, which felt uncomfortable and out of touch. When I requested a full lab panel, she repeatedly asked if I wanted an STD panel, even after I explained my monogamous relationship. The appointment ended abruptly without pleasantries, and as I gathered my things, a nurse came in, saying they needed to clean the room for the next patient, rushing me out. From start to finish, the staff lacked professionalism and warmth, and the doctor’s approach felt dismissive. I don’t plan to return and wouldn’t recommend this practice."
