About Sophie Podeswik

I am a Registered Dietitian based in New York City, NY. I grew up in San Diego, CA and still love both cities passionately. I have always loved talking about (and eating) food and, thus, found a love for nutrition counseling. EDUCATION: I completed my didactic program in dietetics at California State University, Chico - where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Food and Nutrition - General Dietetics. From there I went on to complete my dietetic internship at UC Davis Medical Center (UCDMC) in Sacramento, CA over the course of 12 months. UCDMC is a level 1 Trauma Center and provided many opportunities to practice and gain valuable expertise in many different areas within the vast field of nutrition, including endocrinology, renal, gastroenterology, nutrition support, etc.. It is a time I truly cherish. EXPERIENCE: After completing my internship, I worked at a critical illness long-term acute care hospital in San Diego, CA until I eventually moved to New York City to work as a renal dietitian with dialysis patients. It was at this point that I decided to start my own private practice - and I have never looked back!
