About Spencer Meier
Spencer Meier is a Physician Assistant who has been practicing Dermatology since graduating from Touro University, Henderson, with a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011. He also holds a Bachelor's degree from Southern Utah University. Spencer is passionate about helping patients achieve healthier skin because he believes that healthier skin leads to greater confidence, higher self-esteem, and an improved quality of life. He has received exceptional training from numerous board-certified dermatologists and Mohs micrographic surgeons in both general and surgical dermatology. Spencer prides himself on staying current with the latest developments in Dermatology by attending multiple conferences each year, hosted by some of the most well-respected dermatologists in the country. He has helped conduct clinical trials for acne and is also a speaker on behalf of Aqua Pharmaceuticals. Spencer is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and he is fluent in Spanish. He and his wife, Heidi, have one son, Beckham. In his free time, he enjoys playing football and golf and cheering on his beloved Oakland, soon-to-be Las Vegas, Raiders.

This was a first-time visit to a new dermatologist, a day after moving to Henderson, Nevada. I felt just as comfortable with Spencer Meier as I had felt with my previous dermatologist of 15 years back in Colorado. Spencer and his entire staff were just what a new patient wants to see in a heath care provider.

Spencer is a great PA although he tends to rush the patient a little. I would prefer if he took a little more time to ask questions and really address all my concerns.

This provider does not answer the phone and they don’t return any calls. They need to make some changes to this issue. The nurse was great but because they don’t answer their phone or return phone calls, I cannot recommend them.

While I arrived 10min after my appointment, the front office charged me a copay for the wrong insurance… even though I emailed them my insurance cards and online paperwork. After I called my insurance to verify my copay amount, we sorted out the payment refund and she told me she checked me in and would be called shortly… at that point it had been 50min since I had been waiting, apparently for nothing because I wasn’t even checked in properly. She was going to have me re-fill out the paperwork I had previously done online because she claimed she didn’t receive it even though I have a timestamp of it in my sent box. It’s an hour after my appointment time, I was barely checked in and now I’m still waiting. I have a family member that goes here and recommended it, horrible first experience because of the unorganized front office.
