About Dr. Srilata Gundala
Dr. Srilata Gundala is the founder of Hope & Healing Cancer Services in 2018 in Chicago. She belongs to a family of Doctors and graduated from Osmania Medical College, India in 1997. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Saint Louis University Hospital and Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She is an active member of the American Society of Oncology, American society of Hematology and board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. Gundala has significant expertise in benign and malignant hematology and General Oncology with a particular interest in Breast cancers, GI malignancies, Lymphoma, and Multiple Myeloma. She is committed to providing patient-centered care at using both standard-of-care and innovative cancer treatment options. “Cancer is life-altering and affects individuals both physically and emotionally,” Dr. Gundala says. “Yet these are exciting times for cancer patients, with recent advances in the field of oncology offering more treatment options and tremendous hope for patients living with cancer.”
Dr. Gundala served as Chairman of the Cancer Committee and Director of the Provena St. Mary Cancer Center and Co-Chairman of Cancer Committee at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. To improve quality of care, she developed and implemented quality control projects in colon cancer and breast cancer as Medical Program Standards Director at Elmhurst Hospital. She also developed goals for EMHC for the ACS initiative of ‘80 by 2018’ colon cancer screening. She collaborated with ACS to conduct Community education on Colon Cancer Prevention.
