I offer collaborative, compassionate individual therapy for adults who are ready to understand themselves more deeply and create meaningful change from the inside out. This is a space built on curiosity, not judgment. What should a new client know about working with you?

My Approach Therapy with me is reflective, evidence-based, and tailored to you — not a one-size-fits-all method. I draw on current clinical research (I'm actively pursuing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology) alongside real, hands-on therapeutic experience as a licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT). That means you get care that is both warm and clinically grounded — rooted in who you are, informed by what works. Why Clients Choose to Work With Me Specialized experience with BIPOC, Asian-identified, and LGBTQ+ communities Culturally responsive, identity-affirming care Collaborative and non-pathologizing — your experiences are validated, not labeled Advanced training in evidence-based approaches (MFT Master's + Doctoral candidate) Deep understanding of intergenerational, immigration, and minority stress dynamics Stacy Lim is a “Associate Marriage and Family Therapist" and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their CA license number is 134235 and their current employer is Dr. Melanie Gonzalez, PsyD, LMFT. Stacy is currently in a doctorate program for Clinical Psychology expected 2027.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the first session, I will cover the practice policies and go over your intake questionnaires to ensure we have a good grasp for establishing treatment goals. The first session will be used to gather more information about yourself (or your relationship with your partner), your relationship with the problem at hand, and establishing clearly defined goals for treatment, as well as establish therapeutic rapport to ensure a comfortable space for your continued growth in treatment. Theories I use to help you reach your goals... I utilizes an integrated approach to support you by combining person centered, positive psychology, cultural inclusivity, restorative justice, and a humanistic approach. I am most passionate of discovering purpose and healing for all my clients. I look forward to helping you start your journey toward healing and stability.
