Getting to know Dr. Stella Adebusoye
A depressed patient may find it more difficult to concentrate, communicate, manage time, and even perform their basic needs. I am passionate about mental health and take pride in being a good listener. There is nothing more rewarding than when a patient states they feel so much better and that the treatment has changed their life.
I assess and treat adults with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and personality disorders. I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient care. I use FDA-approved medications for treatment, avoiding stimulants and benzodiazepines.
My goal is to improve patient access to mental health care and education. My mission is to collaborate with clients in developing a treatment plan utilizing a holistic approach. I strive to provide a comfortable and nonjudgmental environment for patients to receive treatment.
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master’s in Family Nursing from Chamberlain University, along with a Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Global.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I utilize the holistic and collaborative approach to care. I find that when the provider and patient can reach an agreement about their treatment plan, the patient obtains a positive outcome. Holistic approach supports the whole person; physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well being, not just their mental health needs. Be rest assured your best interest is always considered first.
