Getting to know Stella Tih
Mercy Seat Mental Health Treatment Center (MMTC) serves our patients using a family-centered, faith-based approach to ensure each person receives the highest level of individualized attention and evidence-based care. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University and a Master's in Nursing from National University, which equip me to provide compassionate, expert care tailored to each individual's needs.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Originally from Africa, Dr. Fongod saw firsthand what happens to people with schizophrenia when they have no treatment or hospital to take care of them. After completing her education and training, Dr. Fongod worked as a nurse in a mental health facility in Los Angeles and saw hope in the eyes of patients when they got the right treatment. Dr. Fongod has a Master of Science in Nursing from National University, which has campuses in San Diego and Los Angeles, California and Kailua, Hawaii. She also has a doctorate degree in nursing practice from Grand Canyon University.

I confirmed in the am of appt that it was to be self pay and that the child had medi cal. They said all ok to self pay. Cancelled appt, would not answer phone calls to tell that because medi cal I was unable to self pay. Very disappointed in lack of info, honesty, integrity. Information would have prevented this review. I communicated the situation clearly over the phone. Lack of professionalism is appalling
