About Dr. Stephanie Bayers
Dr. Stephanie Bayers is a skilled dermatologist, looking after the locals of the Chicago area. Practicing at The Derm Institute of Chicago, she combines her dermatologic skills to achieve skin health and help restore a natural look of beauty in an individualized manner for every patient.
Dr. Bayers graduated from the University of Miami, where she earned her medical degree. She then went on to complete a residency in dermatology at the University of Texas, Southwestern. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women's Dermatologic Society, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

The office is modern and clean. I was greeted right away by the friendly front desk. It was my first visit so had paperwork to fill out. The intake took just a few minutes, then the doctor came in & did her exam. She then explained the treatment plan she had in mind and sent me on my way. Quick & efficient without making me feel rushed. I’d definitely recommend her to my friends and family.

Dr. Bayers is always very attentive to me and educational as long as I ask the right questions. This may be the case with most doctors, but she doesn't necessarily provide a lot of information if I don't ask for it, so be sure to come equipped with questions. She's extremely kind and remembers me every time!

I went to Dr. Bayer to get two moles checked. Dr. Bayers recommended I removed one based on the biopsy. The mole was 5mm in size. I allowed her to do it and when I took the bandage off the incision was 50MM the size of the mole (that's 10 times) . I felt the incision was large given the size of the mole. There was no communication or expectation set regarding the size of the incision. I highly recommend you seek out a plastic surgeon to remove your moles if you have concerns regarding a scar.

Dr. Bayers was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She diagnosed the issue I came in with, recommended treatment options and was patient when I asked to get a quote for the procedures before undergoing them that day.
The only improvement I would've wished for was to have her do an examination of my scalp to check to see if the issue persisted elsewhere (as derms have done before) and to talk to me about stress and its effects on my skin problems (also, as derms have done before). It felt to me like a very matter-of-fact appointment overall.

I ended up with Dr Bauer’s because my insurance plan changed and I could go to my old provider, but I’m so glad. She offered way more options including some that could be done same day without having to wait and pay for another appointment. I wish I met her before my other doctor who didn’t help as much in over a year than Dr. Bayers did in a half hour.
