“Stephanie Bouwer DO really took her time during the appointment and listened to all concerns. My only complaints are the scheduling program they use online was emailing me confirmations that my appointment was accepted while the office staff said my appointment was not in their system. You also cannot call the office and speak to someone, you have to leave a voicemail and wait 24 hours or more for a return call.”

About Dr. Stephanie Bouwer
Stephanie M. Bouwer, DO is a compassionate family physician dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients. She joins us from Penn State Health, where she served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and recently completed her residency at Penn State Health at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Dr. Bouwer holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and has extensive experience in patient care, medical research, and volunteer work. She has particular interests in caring for children and in women’s health.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bouwer has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, volunteering at local clinics and offering medical advice to educational organizations. She is passionate about treating the whole person, with a focus on building trusting, empathetic relationships with her patients.
Dr. Bouwer’s background and dedication to holistic care make her a wonderful addition to our team, and we are confident that she will continue to deliver the compassionate, patient-centered care that Wilmington Health is known for.
