About Stephanie Kertes

I began my nurse practitioner career in 2015 working in the emergency department before transitioning to acute medicine in the hospital setting. I then gained experience in occupational medicine and house call medicine. Most recently, I have developed skills at an internal medicine clinic as well as caring for patients in local nursing homes. I completed my Associate Degree in Nursing at Bethel University in Mishawaka, IN, in 2009. In 2015, I earned my Master’s in Nursing through the Associate to Master of Science in Nursing degree program at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I am certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioner. What is an Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioner? I am able to provide both primary and urgent care for anyone over the age of 18. Patients 65 and older hold a special place in my heart. This population needs someone who can navigate the healthcare system with them and act as their advocate.
