Getting to know Stephanie Larsen

I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner who works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress related to life transitions. I take a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care and believe treatment should be collaborative, individualized, and grounded in trust. My goal is to help patients feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work together to improve their mental health and overall well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients often share that they appreciate my calm, supportive approach and the space to talk openly without feeling rushed or judged. I meet patients where they are and move at a pace that feels manageable. You do not need to have everything figured out before our first visit. My role is to help you make sense of what you are experiencing and to work with you to find a plan that feels realistic and sustainable.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work typically begins with a comprehensive initial visit focused on understanding your concerns, history, and goals for treatment. From there, we create a personalized plan that may include medication management, lifestyle changes, therapy-based skills, or a combination of approaches. Follow-up visits are used to monitor progress, address concerns, and make thoughtful adjustments as needed. Throughout the process, I prioritize clear communication, shared decision-making, and ongoing collaboration.
