Getting to know Dr. Stephanie Neves
PLEASE NOTE:
1) Please respond to our email confirming the appointment within 24 hours to avoid cancellation.
2) We do not provide controlled medications for ADHD without the patient providing a psychological evaluation or childhood evaluation confirming the diagnosis. Requests for other controlled medications require prior records or treating clinician verification. When setting up an appointment, we will take down a credit card number.
3) We only treat patients living in the five boroughs of New York City, Hoboken, and Jersey City.
4) There is a fee for prior authorizations of medications and for completing disability paperwork, as these services are not covered by insurance.
Dr. Stephanie Neves is a doctorally trained, board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She obtained her BA from George Washington University in Psychology with a specialization in Cognitive Neuroscience. Dr. Neves spent several years in research before starting her nursing career at Columbia University, where she earned her BS in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she was a staff nurse in the psychiatric unit of New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell. She has several years of experience as a nurse practitioner in New York City, primarily in community mental health.
Dr. Neves believes in an integrative approach that focuses on how medication can help strengthen the mind-body connection. She offers evidence-based clinical guidance in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. Dr. Neves delivers culturally competent care and has experience working with diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQIA patients. She is proficient in treating adults with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and other psychiatric disorders. Dr. Neves offers medication management with only brief psychotherapy at this time. Intake appointments are 45 minutes, and follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes in length.

While Dr Neves can prescribe medicine, she is not a Board Certified Psychiatrist. In my first (and only) experience working with her she lacked sound judgement by making various false claims. If you are suffering from real mental health issues, I highly recommend working with a Board Certified Psychiatrist.

I have had a lot of different experiences with psychiatric providers in the past, but Dr. Neves is the first provider that instantly made me feel comfortable and affirmed and welcomed. She has an amazing bedside manner, and I am glad to have found her.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Look into your entire history and then make medical judgements. If you're looking for a quick fix, she's not it but if you actually want to feel and get better over time I think shes the very good 1st step. I only started going to her but I feel good about it.
