About Dr. Stephanie Oexeman
Stephanie Oexeman, DPM, AACFAS, DABPM, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle reconstructive and peripheral nerve podiatric surgeon in the Chicago area.

She graduated with honors from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, receiving her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences and minoring in psychology. She received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Des Moines University College Of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduating, she completed a three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency with Franciscan Foot & Ankle Associates at St. Francis in Federal Way, Washington. Dr. Oexeman served as chief resident during her final training year.
After receiving extensive training during her residency, she completed a fellowship in complex deformity correction and limb reconstruction, emphasizing lower extremity orthoplastic and peripheral nerve surgery at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Oexeman is an award-winning public speaker, published author, and serves as faculty for several international symposiums and courses. In 2020, Dr. Oexeman won the Dr. Gerald T. Kuwada Memorial Lectureship Award for her lecture on revisional tarsal tunnel surgery. In addition to being the owner of Oexeman Foot and Ankle, PLLC, Dr. Oexeman is the host of the podcast She's a DPM.

Stephanie was amazing! She was super nice and friendly and explained everything to me clearly. Reminded me to breath when I was freaking out and had a great conversation during the procedure. They also gave me a water bottle after because I was feeling light headed. Her office is also very clean. The receptionist also was very nice and double checked my insurance coverage so I didn’t overpay. Overall a great experience would highly recommend!

I’m super impressed. I’d never been to a podiatrist prior to my visit. I actually decided to give her a try based on recommendations from another of her patients that I know. She was so patient and thorough with her explanation of what she was examining for and next steps. I’ve found that so many medical professionals speak to patients as if they, too, studied medicine or as if they were children. She did neither. She was so personable. She even humored my toddler by engaging with her, too.
I’m excited about the care plan she mapped out and happy that I will be pain-free soon.
