What should a new client know about working with you?

Growing up in South Korea was a meaningful experience that shaped my perspective, even if I did not recognize its significance at the time. After moving to Texas during high school, I developed a deeper understanding of my identity as a biracial individual. This experience fostered a strong appreciation for diverse cultures and languages and has influenced my commitment to providing culturally sensitive and inclusive care to my clients. Additionally, I use a holistic, evidence-based approach that considers mental, physical, emotional, and social factors. While medication may be part of treatment, I also emphasize education, lifestyle considerations, and therapeutic strategies tailored to your individual needs and goals. I believe treatment works best when you feel heard, supported, and actively involved in decisions about your care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with a thorough psychiatric evaluation to understand your concerns, history, and goals to form a complete picture of the individual. Together, we develop an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan that may include medication, education, and therapeutic strategies. Ongoing follow-up focuses on monitoring progress, adjusting treatment as needed, and supporting your overall mental wellness in a compassionate, collaborative environment.
