Her goals as a Psychiatric Advance Practice Registered Nurse are to increase access to mental health treatment, build therapeutic relationships with patients, work collaboratively with a Multidisciplinary team, and foster a healing environment for her clientele. Mrs. Weingard has worked as a board-certified psychiatric registered nurse in inpatient, outpatient, and intensive outpatient settings over the past eight years. She is also a United States Air Force Reservist and works providing mental health care to both active duty and reserve members. In 2012 she was awarded the Secretary of Veterans Affairs Excellence in Nursing award for care improvement strategies implemented in the intensive psychiatric inpatient unit where she worked. In 2016 she was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal for her exemplary service providing mental health care and again in 2020 for excellence in culturally competent care provision. She is also the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal for her contributions to mental health programs within the Air Force Reserve.
