She received the Mayo Illinois Alliance Research Award and was selected for an undergraduate research fellowship to conduct biomedical research at the Mayo Clinic. She then went on to earn her medical degree from the prestigious Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Rochester, MN. Dr. Youssef completed her Otolaryngology internship and residency at Washington University in St. Louis where she was awarded the Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery Resident Teaching Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2025. She has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, contributed to book chapters, and presented academic posters and oral presentations at national meetings. She is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, and the Travis County Medical Society.
