About Dr. Stephen McCollam

Stephen M. McCollam, M.D., joined Peachtree Orthopedics in 1988 and specializes in upper extremity problems. This gives him surgical expertise related to the shoulder, arm, forearm, wrist and hand. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in hand surgery. Dr. McCollam is a New Orleans native who earned his B.A. (cum laude) from Tulane University in 1978 and his M.D. from Tulane with honors in 1982. He completed his orthopedic surgery training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He also completed additional training in hand and upper extremity surgery, as evidenced by his fellowship at Indiana University/St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. McCollam received a scholarship as an AO International Upper Extremity Fellow at the University of Bern in Switzerland in 1988.
