Dr. Pereira became a graduate of the first fellowship training program for minimally invasive surgery in New Jersey. He was a member of a two-surgeon team that performed the first robotic surgeries in the Northeast United States, and he was the first surgeon to perform robotic single-incision surgery in New Jersey and the New York Metropolitan area. Dr. Pereira is the author of numerous publications and surgical textbook chapters. He has received many recognitions for excellence in his field, including being named “Top Doc” by New Jersey Monthly since 2010, listed under Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors in the New York Metropolitan area since 2003, and listed in New York Magazine’s Top Minimally Invasive Surgeons in 2002.
