He is by far the best doctor I've ever been too, not only does he listen, he looks right in the face instead of the computer. He's compassionate and always has good advice. I never wait longer then 10 mins for him. Would highly recommend.

I have anxiety and usually HATE new doctors - Dr. Riso made me comfortable from the second he walked into the room. Did not judge me and offered multiple ways for me to help myself with my problems. He seemed genuinely concerned for my health and well-being.

As a new patient visiting for an annual physical, this visit exceeded my expectations. Dr. Riso was kind and personable. He spent at least 20 minutes talking to me about my overall health and health goals. There was an emphasis onwellness and what I can do to continue to improve my health. I really appreciated the care and concern he showed. My husband and I will continue to see Dr. Riso as our PCP.

I just came for a prescription for birth control and he seemed very uneducated about it. Told me it takes a month for it to kick in... Which is just plain wrong for any kind of birth control. Won't see him again.

He was nice enough but made a comment about my weight that really stuck with me. I understand he's a medical professional but I'm only a couple of pounds overweight and I don't think we needed to spend the time wedid on the subject. It was frankly offensive and inappropriate. I probably won't come back.

Dr. Riso is great, very thorough, and really takes the time to sit with patients and get a full health history. He typically remembers my health history even months after my previous visit. The office recently changed to a new EMRand they had difficult verifying my insurance because of this. I don't think I've ever waited more than 20 minutes at past visits.

The facility was clean and bright. The staff at the front desk was very kind and efficient. I had questions about my insurance in which Dr. Riso and his staff took the time to look into for me. I worked withDr. Riso two years ago in a hospital setting and witnessed his excellent bedside manner first hand. When it was time for my husband and I to find a new primary physician, I did not hesitate to make appointments for us with Dr. Riso. My husbands appointment was at 6 pm and mine was on a separate day at 4 pm and both had quick wait times. Dr. Riso is a very knowledgable and personable doctor who talks to you and listens. He did a thorough exam. When his nursing staff was helping other patients, Dr. Riso took it upon himself to administer tasks they would normally complete. When lab results came in, Dr. Riso returned my call right away to discuss my results. We traveled from Queens into Brooklyn to see this doctor and would highly recommend Dr. Riso if you are looking for a reliable physician!

I picked this doctor based on positive reviews on Zocdoc & I'm very surprised because my experience was pretty awful. Honestly, most of my complaints have more to do with the office than the doctor himself. Nevertheless, I will not bereturning. My appointment was for a physical. I was charged a copay, despite the fact that my insurance covers one annual physical per year. It is a new insurance plan to me & i wasn't sure of this policy until I checked my plan later on. After raising this issue to the office, I was told that I would need to wait 3-4 weeks for the payment to process & then call back to receive a refund. This is partially my fault for not knowing the ins and outs of my plan. But also, isn't it kind of their job to check? Oh well these things happen. Onto the exam... After the nurse brought me in to the examination room, I was left by myself for 45 minutes before seeing the doctor. After the examination, I was told that I would need to come back the next day to do the blood work portion of the physical because the nurse & doctor were not able to get in to the room they needed to do the blood work in. I said fine & asked if I should make an appointment. They said no & told me that I'd be able to tell them my situation & walk right in. No big deal, these things happen. I get it. Onto the next day... I walk in the next day & explain my situation to the woman at the desk. She very rudely told me that "for future reference, you should always make an appointment" & that I would have to wait. So I waited for 40 minutes. Again. While waiting, I met another patient that had been called & asked to come in 40 minutes early for his appointment. He left work early to come & then waited in the waiting room until the time of his original appointment (possibly later because he was still waiting when I left). When he complained to the rude woman working at the desk, she sassed him. Another patient I met waited in the waiting room for an hour before being shown into an examination room. Then, after waiting in the examination room for another 20 minutes, walked back out to wait in the waiting room. I've worked in an office setting before & I know people have bad days. Maybe this place is usually pretty good. I don't know. What I do know is that I've never had this bad of an experience at a doctor's office & I'd rather not subject myself to it again.

Very diligent and knowledgeable Doctor. He spent a lot of time with me talking about my symptoms and gave me honest, useful advice. I felt very comfortable and will continue coming to him for all GP medical concerns. The office isclean and the staff are professional and very competent. The only problem is the lack of parking in the neighborhood.
