About Dr. Steven Celestin
Steven Celestin, MD, is a board-certified Family Physician with over 18 years of post-residency experience. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from New York University and completed his Family Practice residencies at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and Mount Sinai Queens. Dr. Celestin treats patients aged 18 to 118, managing chronic medical problems and behavioral health conditions.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, he has a vast background serving underprivileged populations in community health center settings. “My daily mission is to serve and educate my patients and underserved communities in a friendly, firm, and compassionate way, while empowering them to take the best possible physical, emotional, and spiritual care of themselves and their families,” he says.
Treating every patient as he would want to be treated, Dr. Celestin provides clarity and comfort throughout each visit. His priority is ensuring patients feel they receive the most information and compassion during their time with him. He especially enjoys the challenge of making at least one patient a day feel that he is one of the best doctors they have ever seen.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Celestin enjoys family time, fantasy football, watching movies, playing video games, and making “dad jokes.” He is also passionate about educating and empowering his patients to become motivated about their health.

Dr. Celestin was so great, super informative and detailed, took the time to go thru everything I needed, very thorough and kind, caring doctor. The nurses were also so sweet. Loved the whole doctor experience. I personally have long standing issues with doctors and taking care of my health because my family raised me to not prioritize my health, but I’m trying to change that now, and this was a great first experience back to a doctors office in years. I’m glad I had a great doctor to read society my health journey with.

Just moved from another state and needed to find a primary care doctor that was close to work and home but that had excellent reviews. Dr. Celestin was a great choice for me, he's very thorough and listened intently. This was my first time using Zocdoc and I would highly recommend it. Not sure I would found Dr. Celestin any other way.
