“Everyone was amazing! My Daughter fell at camp and injured her elbow, we spent 8 hours in CHOAs ED, and left with "we didn't see anything on X-ray, but we can't be certain". My daughter has been to WellStar peds ortho a few time so I knew I had to take her for a second opinion, her normal Dr was not available so we saw Dr.Schulenborg and I was not disappointed! He looked at her X-rays from CHOA and was able to tell me there was no fracture. Thank you to everyone who we encountered today. Yall Rock!”

About Dr. Steven Schulenborg

Dr. Schulenborg grew up in the Memphis area where he played multiple sports focusing his athletic efforts on elite level soccer during his high school years. He played for both club and high school soccer teams and won a national and state championship as a member of the Houston High School soccer team. He received his undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience.
He pursued his medical education at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. He stayed in Memphis where he completed his residency training in pediatrics with The University of Tennessee Pediatrics Residency Program at prestigious hospitals including Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, The Regional Medical Center, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Dr. Schulenborg followed his passion and pursued fellowship training in pediatric sports medicine at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida at Orlando Health. While in Orlando, he gained experience treating multiple types of sports-related injuries and fractures in children and adolescents as well managing concussions. He served as team physician for the Edgewater High School football team and was an event physician at the Florida Football High School State Championships and the Adidas Golden South Classic, an elite youth track meet in the Adidas Golden Stripes Series. In addition to specializing in sports-related injuries in children and adolescents, Dr. Schulenborg worked with professional athletes while serving as a team physician for the professional Orlando City Lions soccer team.

Our first time seeing this physician and he was extremely thorough and spent a tremendous amount of time with us explaining every single thing and confirming each step of the way that my son understood what he was saying. I was highly impressed and thankful for his time and expertise.
