“Dr Stoll’s practice is a gigantic improvement over the alternatives in Center City. The difference starts immediately in the waiting room. Efficient, knowledgeable staff. No waiting to check in, staff is engaged and efficient. After medical staff had taken vitals, Dr Stoll and a smart assistant showed up promptly. Dr Stoll had already reviewed my chart and did an independent comparison to last year’s visit. After receiving encouragement for the cycling class that dropped my heart rate dramatically, I was sent to the lab where the prevailing efficiency carried through. The phlebotomist was expert, no hesitation or pain with the blood draw. The massive improvement that is Dr Stoll’s practice is confirmed by the patients. Everyone seems happy. Since when is a group of patients waiting for a blood draw positively cheerful? Perhaps only here, because time and intelligence is respected. Never for as long as I’m in Philly would I go to a different primary care physician. Thanks, Dr Stoll!”

About Dr. Steven Stoll
Dr. Steven Stoll has been surrounded by doctors his entire life. His father is a doctor, as were his grandfather and older brother before him. His wife is a doctor. His sister-in-law is a doctor. A few of his cousins are doctors, and his brother-in-law is currently in medical school. It is not much of an exaggeration to say that, regardless of specialty, Dr. Stoll's family has it covered.
Growing up in such an environment, he was fortunate enough to never lack immediate and attentive medical care. Whether it was sutures or facial cream, he usually had the “cure” within a couple of hours. That is why, in medical school, it surprised Dr. Stoll that not everyone shared his idealized view of the medical field. From classmates and patients alike, he heard horror stories of waiting months for an appointment, never seeing the same physician twice, and being unable to reach their doctor when necessary. He quickly realized that most people carried a much harsher perspective toward medicine in general and doctors in particular.
Dr. Stoll earned his Bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, followed by his Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
