Dr. Martin delivers natural, drug-free care through precise adjustments, focusing on restoring comfort, mobility, and quality of life. His path to the profession began after moving to Los Angeles in 1990 to pursue acting. A back injury at a warehouse job led him to chiropractic care, where he experienced complete relief in just three weeks. Encouraged by his chiropractor—“I was thinking that about you”—he pursued the field full-time. Dr. Martin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Cleveland College of Chiropractic in Los Angeles. Before joining The Joint, he practiced in Beverly Hills, Glendale, Montrose, and Ventura. A native of Waterloo, Iowa, Dr. Martin now enjoys family life with his wife, Coleen—a writer and academic librarian—and their children, along with their pets. In his spare time, he cheers for the Los Angeles Clippers, shares “dad jokes,” does yardwork, listens to music, cooks, attends church, reads, completes personal/professional development courses, and spends quality time with his wife. Dr. Martin finds deep fulfillment in helping as many people as possible achieve lasting pain relief and improved wellness.
