This provider did not show up for the visit. She didn't even follow up with a call. Very unprofessional. My advice ... Adhere to the multiple reviews indicating the same experience. I gave the benefit of the doubt and ignored the multiple negative reviews and was so disappointed that I did. Good luck to you and your medical endeavors but don't book with Sue Pena.

This doctor was horrible. Their office reached out however, they reached out with two different appointment dates. Then they moved the appointment date. Finally when it was ACTUALLY time to see her, she never showed. I sat in the telehealth room for over an hour. I reached out to her office to reschedule for that day and they agreed. I then logged into a different telehealth session, she STILL didnt show. I will NEVER book with this doctor again and I advise anyone else pass as well.

I would not recommend this office to a friend. The day prior to my appointment, I completed the necessary, intake documents. 3 hours prior to my appointment I received a text message from the office stating that my appointment has been rescheduled to a date and time that was not accommodating to me.

SouthEnd Psychiatry may not be the best option for individuals in the midst of a mental health crisis or those urgently seeking personal, compassionate care. While it offers services in psychiatry and therapy, the level of support, responsiveness, and individualized attention can fall short for people who are experiencing acute emotional distress or seeking immediate, empathetic help. Those in crisis may benefit more from providers or clinics that specialize in intensive, crisis-focused intervention with a strong track record for timely and personalized care.

Sujeiry was fantastic! She’s a great listener—empathetic, warm, and personable. From the moment we began speaking with her, she made our very first step in seeking mental health guidance for our son feel easy and safe. She provided real-world examples that helped us better understand and connect, and she had a calming presence that immediately put my son, my husband, and me at ease. We are truly grateful for her support. She is wonderful!

Absolute chaos. The person I booked wasn't available. I had called the office to adjust my appointment time, and I am glad I did because they had no record of me in their system, they said they didn't know what was going on with Zocdoc, and they said they don't even use Zocdoc and that I should just call their office directly. They had to cancel the appointment I made altogether, rebook me for another day, and then I was placed with someone else. When it was time for the video appointment, the video was so frozen and glitchy the woman just wound up being disconnected from me. She called me on the phone later, and asked me all the same questions I'd already filled out on my forms, and it was so tedious and time consuming that I wound up just ending the call. If you're looking for any kind of support, or professionalism, or even simple organization, avoid this mess.

She took my intake and was very nice, but I did not see her for my consultation, I was booked with Dr Smart who was absolutely awful. Basically told me what was wrong with me without even letting me speak, kept talking over me and gave me a medication that I told him I tried and wasn't effective. Oh and only sent over one of the three meds he prescribed. Never going back to anyone at Southend psychiatry ever again.

Horrible. Do not recommend this place at all. Provider was extremely rude. Company calls over and over if you don’t pick up the first time. They text and call late at night to confirm an appointment. They called almost at 10pm and then texted asking me to send my id to confirm my appointment for the next day. The therapist the day of the session was late and barely introduced herself before she started asking me my weight, height and last menstrual period. No explanation was giving as to why that information was needed for a couples therapy session. When we expressed concerns that we didn’t think this was not the right fit and it wasn’t going to workout, she said “good” and ended the sessions abruptly. Overall we were left shocked and completely dissatisfied with the service from this place.

Ms. Peña may be a wonderful NP, but she did not show up for my appointment. I had completed all the paperwork and confirmed. No one responded to my call/text for the link. This is was for a child in need of medication management after discharge from residential treatment, so I hope that the office can address scheduling/communication for the sake of their vulnerable clients.

The provider did an intake and I have never heard from them again. Zocdoc sent me a reminder for my appointment and when I called to inform that no one has contacted me for my appointment, the receptionist informed that their agency did not confirm the appointment made on Zocdoc and I would have to wait for the staffing coordinator to book my first appointment.
