What should a new client know about working with you?

You've tried pushing through. You've tried waiting it out. Maybe you've even tried treatment before and still don't feel like yourself. Mental health care should be more than a diagnosis and a prescription. It should help you understand what's happening, why it's happening, and what can be done about it. I provide personalized, evidence-based psychiatric care for depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, insomnia, cognitive concerns, and treatment-resistant conditions. My approach combines thoughtful medication management, therapeutic support, and, when appropriate, innovative treatment. Most importantly, I believe treatment works best when it's collaborative. You bring your experiences and goals; I bring clinical expertise and a commitment to helping you find a path forward. Together, we'll create a plan designed not just to reduce symptoms, but to help you reclaim your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is collaborative, personalized, and focused on achieving meaningful, measurable results. Treatment begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation where I take the time to understand not only your symptoms, but also your medical history, life experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals. I believe that effective mental health care starts with understanding the whole person—not just the diagnosis. During our initial sessions, we work together to identify the factors contributing to your concerns and develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Depending on your situation, treatment may include medication management, psychotherapy-informed interventions, lifestyle recommendations, behavioral strategies, and education about your condition and treatment options. Throughout the treatment process, I emphasize open communication and shared decision-making. I want my patients to understand why certain recommendations are being made and to feel actively involved in their care. We regularly monitor progress, discuss what's working and what isn't, and make adjustments as needed to ensure treatment remains aligned with your goals. I utilize evidence-based, measurement-driven care whenever appropriate, incorporating standardized assessments to track symptoms and objectively measure improvement over time. This allows us to make informed treatment decisions and ensure that we are moving in the right direction. My ultimate goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we focus not only on reducing symptoms but also on improving overall functioning, resilience, cognitive health, and quality of life.
