Susel is incredible. She actually took the time to get to know me before jumping into an evaluation — we talked for nearly 30 minutes, and it never felt rushed or transactional.
When it was time for the assessment, she clearly explained why she was testing certain things and how each piece connects to my diagnosis, medication, and long-term care. That level of transparency made me feel informed and confident instead of anxious.
She’s extremely knowledgeable, but also warm and easy to talk to. I felt completely comfortable opening up about what I’ve been dealing with, which isn’t always easy in a clinical setting.
I already have my follow-up in three weeks, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it — which says a lot. If you’re looking for a psychiatrist who is both sharp and compassionate, Susel is it.
