Sussana Howard is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She began her career as a certified nurse assistant and went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master’s in Nursing at Walden University, specializing as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has worked in hospitals and home health settings with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Her curiosity and passion for mental health are deeply personal, as her sibling suffers from a mental illness. She understands the stigma and burden faced by patients and their loved ones. Choosing this career path allows her to reach and make a meaningful impact on people who need support and care.

I’ve a little trouble getting set up with a therapist but have a great person who monitors my medications. I’m starting weekly therapy next week and am greatly looking forward to it.

Very nice person, but I had difficulty understanding her English due to her accent. Also, not her fault, but the microphone sound on her computer was so muffled, it was hard to hear her and may have caused difficulty with understanding.
