Suzana Hachey, APRN, MSN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
FL
I’m Suzana, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and the founder of True You Psychiatry. My goal is to create a space where you can speak openly, feel truly heard, and take an active role in your care. My commitment to mental health is personal, too. My own experiences with adversity, therapy, and personal growth have shaped who I am and how I care for others. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to ask for help and how meaningful it is to find someone who listens without judgment. Those experiences remind me to approach each person with curiosity, compassion, and respect for a story that is uniquely their own. My primary focus is medication management, with supportive talk therapy and attention to sleep, lifestyle, and overall well-being woven into our visits. We’ll talk through your options, make room for your concerns, and build a treatment plan together that fits your needs and goals. I work with adults of all ages, with a particular passion for supporting young adults navigating life transitions, identity, relationships, and the pressures of becoming independent. I treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. I provide care in English and Spanish and welcome and affirm LGBTQ+ individuals. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can start wherever you are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, supportive, and judgment-free. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly about what you’re experiencing. I believe the best treatment comes from working together, so I take the time to listen, understand your concerns, and make sure you feel involved in decisions about your care. While medication management is an important part of what I do, I also believe in looking at the whole person—not just a diagnosis. We may talk about sleep, stress, relationships, nutrition, exercise, coping skills, and other factors that can affect your mental health. I also incorporate supportive and solution-focused techniques during our visits and encourage therapy when it may provide additional benefit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable asking questions. Treatment is not one-size-fits-all, and we will work together to find an approach that feels right for you and supports you in becoming the healthiest and most authentic version of yourself.
