Getting to know Dr. Swapna Vaidya
Dr. Vaidya is a board-certified Adult Psychiatrist with fellowship training in Psychosomatic Medicine. She earned her medical degree from D.Y. Patil University School of Medicine, completed her residency in Psychiatry at Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, and pursued her fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Bellevue Hospital Center. With over 20 years of experience, she currently serves as the Lead Psychiatrist at Options MD, a virtual clinic specializing in treating patients with depression and bipolar disorder. In addition, she maintains a private practice, primarily serving patients in Washington state.
Dr. Vaidya is passionate about women’s health, collaborative care psychiatry, and leveraging cutting-edge health technologies to support patients with treatment-resistant mental health issues. Throughout her career, she has held significant leadership roles, including Fellowship Director for Consult Liaison Psychiatry and Director of Transplant Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine (ICSOM). She has also served as Clinical Operations Chief at Kaiser Permanente in Washington and as a Physician Executive at MultiCare Behavioral Health Hospital. Before joining Options MD, she was a Collaborative Care Psychiatrist at Crossover, providing care to Microsoft employees.
Currently, Dr. Vaidya serves as an Advisory Board Member for Gennev, a leading telehealth company dedicated to specialized care for menopausal women, and as a Physician Ambassador for Solve Care.

Provided options for my treatment and because of the connection we had I am confident continuing treatment with her is my best option.
