About Dr. Swetha Kandula

Swetha Kandula, M.D., board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, is the founder and director of Dermatology and Skincare Arts. She is an expert in treating medical, cosmetic, pediatric, and surgical dermatology conditions. With years of experience managing laser treatments for redness, pigmentation, acne scars, and leg veins, Dr. Kandula aspires to be a leading dermatologist in New Jersey. Her goal is to provide exceptional, personalized care using an evidence-based approach in a state-of-the-art facility, inspiring her to establish Dermatology and Skincare Arts in Parsippany, New Jersey. Education and Medical Training Dr. Kandula earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from J.J.M. Medical College, Davangere. She completed her dermatology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kandula also completed a dermatology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. Before practicing in New Jersey, she was Senior Staff Instructor for Harvard Medical School at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts. Additionally, she completed a residency in Internal Medicine, providing a unique perspective and enhanced ability to treat dermatological conditions alongside associated medical issues. During training, Dr. Kandula received accolades including the Barry Breen Memorial Award for outstanding residents and the Apple Teaching Award, selected by co-residents as best resident teacher. Dr. Kandula is on staff at Overlook Medical Center, Atlantic Health System, and Penn Medicine Princeton Health. She accepts all major insurances. She has been invited to speak at residency programs locally and internationally to teach dermatology residents. Passionate about skincare and skin cancer prevention, Dr. Kandula participates in community events such as Outrun the Sun and Race Against Melanoma, volunteering regularly at skin cancer screenings and supporting Locks of Love.
