Sydney Fox, AMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist
CA
The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Sydney Fox, AMFT- Supervised by Hillary Buckholtz. People come to therapy for many reasons, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, big life changes, burnout, unanswered questions, or simply wanting to understand themselves better. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from support. Therapy can be a space to think, feel, process, and grow with someone who is trained to help you navigate what you’re carrying. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and flexible. I meet each client where they are and tailor treatment based on their needs and goals, whether that means skill-building, emotional processing, problem-solving, or gaining insight. I work with individuals seeking support with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, stress, and general emotional well-being, but I also welcome people who don’t have a specific “issue” and simply want a place to reflect and grow. You do not need a perfect explanation to start therapy. You just need a place to begin. In our sessions, you can expect a combination of understanding and direction. Sometimes healing looks like insight and clarity. Other times it looks like learning coping skills, improving communication, building self-awareness, or making decisions that align with who you want to be. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, narrative work, and strengths-based perspectives. The goal is always the same — to help you move through life with more steadiness, confidence, and internal support. Therapy can help you look at things differently, respond instead of react, understand your emotions, repair relationships with others and yourself, and feel less weighed down. You don’t have to navigate everything alone.
