PLEASE NOTE, I’M IN-NETWORK WITH AETNA, CIGNA, MEDICARE, OXFORD, UHC-MED ADV, UNITED HEALTHCARE I DO NOT ACCEPT MEDICAID. My therapeutic style is characterized by warmth, engagement, and a genuine personal connection. I believe in establishing a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, where we work together to make informed decisions about their treatment. My practice is inclusive and welcoming, embracing diversity in culture, background, and experience. I have worked with a wide range of clients, including students, parents, professionals from various fields, skilled tradespeople, service industry workers, retail employees, entrepreneurs, artists, and technology experts. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space where each individual feels heard, understood, and empowered to achieve their therapeutic goals. I chose to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner because I have always been passionate about improving access to compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. Throughout my nursing career, I witnessed the profound impact that untreated mental illness can have on individuals, families, and communities. I wanted to do more than manage symptoms at the moment. I wanted to develop long-term therapeutic relationships, provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, prescribe appropriate medications, and incorporate psychotherapy and patient education into treatment. As a PMHNP, I have the opportunity to empower patients to overcome challenges, build resilience, and improve their overall quality of life. I am especially passionate about caring for individuals across the lifespan, with a particular interest in women's mental health, including the unique psychiatric needs associated with pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause. This specialty allows me to combine my clinical expertise, empathy, and commitment to holistic care to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those experiencing mental health conditions. S

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Booking Process: Request your appointment time on Zocdoc. My office will email you an online intake form to ensure I’m able to help you. If we’re a fit, we’ll reach out to confirm an appointment time. I try my best to keep slots available each week for new clients. Your First Visit: The initial session is a comprehensive, one-hour evaluation which allows me to understand your current symptoms and difficulties, and learn about important aspects of your past psychiatric, medical, social, educational, and family histories. At the end of the session, we’ll determine the best treatment course. Session frequency ranges from weekly to monthly depending on the type of treatment you’re looking for. If you’re already seeing a therapist, I’m happy to collaborate with them while guiding the medication aspect of your treatment. However, many of my clients see me for both therapy and medication management. My practice, Lavender Psychiatry, is founded and fueled by board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioners who create therapeutic journeys that are kind, convenient and transparent so that people can flourish. We have a fantastic team that works together to ensure our clients are well taken care of. This includes our care concierge team who is available 7 days a week between your appointments, to help answer questions and assist with any issues regarding coverage and prescriptions etc. We also have covering providers in case I’m away and an urgent matter arises. I look forward to meeting you and helping you in your journey to a brighter future!
