Sylvia Mise, APRN

Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
NE
I am a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in healthcare and more than 10 years of service in the U.S. Navy. My diverse clinical and life experiences have shaped my belief that mental health care should be compassionate, respectful, and individualized to each person. I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, PTSD, and insomnia. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered. I take time to listen, understand your concerns, and look beyond symptoms to consider the biological, psychological, and life circumstances that may be affecting your well-being. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel heard and comfortable participating in decisions about your treatment. Together, we will develop a realistic treatment plan focused not only on reducing symptoms, but also on helping you function better and improve your overall quality of life. As someone with a multicultural background, I value cultural differences and understand how important it is to feel understood by your provider. I am fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish and am happy to provide care in the language in which you feel most comfortable. Whether you are seeking psychiatric care for the first time or looking for a provider who will take the time to listen and work collaboratively with you, I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward better mental health.
