Getting to know Sylvia Nnamdi-Enwerem

I’m Dr. Sylvia Nnamdi-Enwerem, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing evidence-based psychiatric care for adolescents and adults. I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, psychiatric medication management, ADHD evaluation and treatment, and psychiatric second opinions. Treatment may include medication, supportive therapy, mental health education, lifestyle strategies, and shared decision-making based on your needs and goals. You deserve mental health care where you feel heard—not rushed, dismissed, or treated like just another appointment. I take the time to understand what you’re experiencing, listen to what matters to you, and work with you to create a personalized psychiatric treatment plan that fits your needs, goals, and life. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, difficulty focusing, sleep problems, or concerns about your medications, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My approach to mental health care is warm, respectful, and judgment-free, with clear explanations and shared decisions so you can feel informed, supported, and confident in your care.

I understand that reaching out for mental health care can feel overwhelming, especially if you have felt unheard or misunderstood in the past. I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, ADHD evaluation and treatment, psychiatric medication management, supportive therapy, follow-up care, and psychiatric second opinions when appropriate. Through secure telepsychiatry, I serve eligible adults in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Arizona. My approach is evidence-based, culturally responsive, and centered on your individual needs, history, goals, and values. Together, we will explore your concerns, discuss treatment options, and develop a personalized plan to support your mental health and everyday functioning. You deserve to feel comfortable asking questions and participating in decisions about your care. When you feel ready, I welcome you to take the first step toward greater stability, confidence, and well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first visit is focused on getting to know you and understanding your concerns. We’ll talk about your symptoms, health history, medications, previous treatments, and what you would like to improve.
