About Talia Gothelf
Talia Gothelf, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology at the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®). Her passion for dermatology began with her own experience struggling with acne as a teenager and young adult. Growing up, she also saw her sister, mother, and grandmother struggle with chronic eczema, giving her an early understanding of the impact chronic skin conditions can have on a person's confidence and quality of life. These experiences ultimately inspired her to pursue a career helping patients feel healthy and confident in their skin.
Talia studied at the University of Michigan, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Movement Science. While in college and for three years afterward, she worked as a dermatology medical assistant, gaining experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. She later moved to New York, where she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pace University Lenox Hill Hospital. Her clinical training throughout NYC exposed her to patients from a wide range of backgrounds and with diverse medical needs. She then completed intensive dermatology training under Dr. Peter Saitta, with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the skin, hair, and nails.
Talia is proud to care for patients in Forest Hills and Rego Park. Her clinical interests include acne, rosacea, hair loss, eczema, psoriasis, warts, keloids, skin cancer detection and prevention, and comprehensive skin examinations. She is committed to staying current with advances in dermatology and providing thoughtful treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs.
Talia is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates, the New York State Society of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She is certified by the NCCPA.
Outside of dermatology, Talia enjoys yoga, hiking, dancing, listening to music, and taking long walks by the water with her husband.

She was super kind, knowledgeable and attentive to my issues. She understood my health conditions immediately and made sure I had the appropriate treatment and medication for it. She is a very good listener and and is patient. She did not rush me out of the office and discussed every health condition of mine thoroughly. She has great bedside manner.

Talia was the exact person I was looking for to address a dermatological issue relating to my scalp. My experience with her could not have been any better. In addition to her being super personable, easy going, and amenable to my last minute scheduling change, she listened to me and my longstanding problem with sensitivity yet knew exactly what to recommend. While I’ve seen other providers about this over the past year, none have given me the assurance that they have a sense of what it is. Not only did she do this, she assured me that if what she prescribed didn’t work, we could try something else. After feeling that my problem was not fixable, I now have newfound hope. The prescription she ordered was also delivered to my house in just 2 days and I have already started using it! Looking forward to seeing results and going back to Talia for all my dermatological needs. Superb provider.
