Getting to know Talia Spruill

Talia Spruill, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of RxTrilogy Telehealth Clinic. She provides compassionate, individualized psychiatric care through secure telehealth appointments. Her approach combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment with a holistic, trauma-informed perspective. She works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns, with an emphasis on understanding the whole person—not just their symptoms. Talia believes mental health care should feel collaborative, respectful, and personalized. Her goal is to create a safe space where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their mental health journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is a collaborative and personalized experience. I take time to understand your concerns, goals, history, and individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. During your first appointment, we will discuss what brings you to care, review your mental health and medication history, and identify areas where you would like support. When appropriate, we may discuss medication options, therapy recommendations, lifestyle strategies, and other resources that can support your overall well-being. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard and comfortable participating in your care. I encourage open communication and believe you should understand your treatment options and feel empowered to make informed decisions about your mental health. Appointments are provided through secure telehealth, making care accessible and convenient from the comfort of your own space.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with an initial intake and comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to better understand your symptoms, mental health history, current concerns, and treatment goals. From there, I develop a personalized treatment plan based on your individual needs. Treatment may include medication management, supportive strategies, education, and referrals to additional resources when appropriate. Follow-up appointments are typically up to 45 minutes, allowing time to review your progress, discuss any concerns or changes, assess treatment effectiveness, and make adjustments when needed. My goal is to provide thoughtful, collaborative care that evolves with you throughout your treatment journey.

Our appointments usually start either 10 minutes early or 20 minutes late. Talia is incredibly efficient and a great listener.
Talia is an excellent counselor. I was in total crisis mode. I really was in despair. Talia truly has a way of keeping it real, while getting you to talk about your issue. But what I especially liked about her approach was that it wasn't all just "how can I medicate you", but it was also about wellness...getting some exercise, meditation, and other forms of wellness that I think are so critical when you are in a period of crisis. As someone who also has a counseling background, I especially appreciated this about her, and will continue seeing her.

Dr. Spruill is a lucky find; someone who actually cares about people's overall health and well-being HOLISTICALLY. She will use meds as a last resort, not a first resort. She takes the time to get to know you and assess your actual needs. Snatch her up if you are able to get a spot!
Very professional.

What a gem!! I came across Talia on zoc doc since I recently switched psychiatrists, and just our first session she provided so much insight. You can tell she really cares about what she does, and takes the time to listen and provide solutions. She worked with me to adjust my medications, and was so encouraging about positive changes that I can make in my life after experiencing some trauma. She really knows her stuff!! I would absolutely recommend her!!!
