Tamara Gordon is a board-certified adult and child Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Molloy University. Tamara has experience working with adolescents and adults in multiple settings, such as outpatient clinics, psychiatric emergency rooms, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals.
The office is located in Valley Stream, New York. Tamara Gordon, NP, provides both in-person and Telehealth appointments via a secure HIPAA-compliant platform. She offers comprehensive evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and more. We also offer Genesight testing, a personalized genetic test that can help inform medication selection.

My styles are typically considered warm, affirming, and empowering. My patient's will leave each session feeling hopeful. They will know that they have been heard and understood without judgment.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
After you book your appointment through Zocdoc, we will reach out to you via secure messaging, email or phone call to discuss steps needed to complete the intake documents and provide your insurance information
During our first session which typically last about 50-60 minutes, we will discuss your symptoms, concerns and preferences. I will ask questions to learn more about you, we will discuss pharmacological treatment plans that is best for you.
