Tammy Head is a distinguished healthcare professional who blends extensive hands-on experience with a strong academic foundation. She began her career with a Nursing degree from Gulf Coast State College in 2016, excelling in various roles over six years in the ER, and honing her expertise in wound care and long-term acute care. Her educational journey culminated in 2022 with a Master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington followed by d fellowship at A4M to begin her journey with functional medicine.
Central to Tammy’s approach is her belief in empowering patients through education and fostering independence. She prioritizes helping patients understand their options and potential outcomes, enabling them to make informed decisions that align with their individual lifestyles. This patient-centered philosophy sets her apart from traditional healthcare practices.
To Ensure the safety of our patients and to comply with evolving medical guidelines regarding the management of controlled substances, this office has a policy not to initiate, prescribe or manage long-term stimulant medications (e.g., Adderall, Ritalin, narcotic pain medication (Hydrocodone, Codeine, Fentanyl, Morphine) or benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium)

Dr. Tamara Head was amazing! First time getting a Pap smear and she made it very comfortable for me. She answered all my questions and concerns and walked me through my whole procedure. The staff at the facility were very friendly as well and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Would definitely recommend if you are getting a first time check-up or any other medical concerns!

When you walk in you’re happily greeted by the front desk. The woman is kind and courteous. Wait time was within 30min of arrival. The staff was patient and kind. I never once felt rushed. It appears to be a family atmosphere where the people actually seem to enjoy each other and their patients. Dr. Head was amazing. She not only was patient but listened to all my concerns. She genuinely seemed concerned for helping figure out what’s going on with me. She explained what we were going to do to accomplish this. Never once did I feel rushed through it. She ended up spending about an hour with me. She seems to really care and that’s what I need right now. I don’t have a PCP and she’s a bit out of my way but I’ll happily drive to see her. I trust that she’s going to do everything she can to help me. Overall experience was pleasant, encouraging, giving me hope to start feeling better. Thank you, Dr. Head and staff. Looking forward to working with you for a healthier me. Highly recommend.
