Getting to know Dr. Taner Aydin
Dr. Aydin is a Hofstra/Northwell and Mount Sinai trained psychiatrist. In addition to seeing patients at his private practice, he was an Attending Psychiatrist for the Northwell Health system where he taught medical and physician assistant students and resident physicians.
He has presented at national conferences, has taught several courses, and has worked in numerous settings with patient populations of all ages and backgrounds.
Dr. Aydin values a collaborative, evidence-based, individualized treatment approach, utilizing medication management, psychotherapy, and innovative treatments.
He also offers interventional psychiatric treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (intranasal ketamine) for treatment-resistant depression.
Dr. Aydin does not believe in a one-size-fits-all practice of medicine and will work with you to find solutions that meet your unique needs.

Great first appointment, directly addressed my concerns, got through a lot in the time allocated, very calm demeanor, clear and actionable next steps. They listened, asked good questions, outlined treatment options and looped me into decision making for next steps.

Dr. Aydin was great, as a brand new patient he fully listened as I caught him up on what’s been going on with me! His office is very clean and welcoming not to mention comfortable.
Finally he makes use of plenty of technology for ease of making appointments and communciating.

Dr. Aydin is the kindest and most capable psychiatrist I have ever met. He is always actively engaged in our conversations and meetings, and is incredibly empathetic. As someone who has had to navigate the mental health care system for a while, I have come across varying degrees of care in psychiatry, I can say without a doubt that Dr. Aydin is the best out there. Dr. Aydin is one of the best psychiatrists I’ve spoken to. I always feel like he’s actually listening to what I have to say and the concerns that I have about my meds. I definitely think that he really cares about his patients. The front desk staff is also very nice.
