Getting to know Tanesha McWilliams
Hello. My name is Tanesha, and I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner providing care for clients in Indiana. I earned my Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Northern Kentucky University. I have over 10 years of nursing experience in a variety of settings and specialties, with several of those years devoted to psychiatry and mental health. I have been practicing as an NP for 2 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings, treating clients with a variety of mental health disorders including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, addiction, PTSD, and many others.
I am passionate about mental health and reducing the stigma associated with it. My main goal as a PMHNP is to provide compassionate, evidence-based treatment and to assist in closing the mental health treatment gap by increasing accessibility to quality care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Your initial appointment will be between 45-60 minutes. During this time I will gather information and review your medical and mental health history, current and past medications, social and family history, and any other pertinent information that will help to formulate a diagnosis and individualized treatment plan. We will discuss medication options that can be prescribed electronically immediately following our session. Follow-up appointments will focus on monitoring progress and making appropriate changes to optimize mental health stability and healing.

It seems like she's ghosted me. I was so happy initially with her communication and she said she'd write me multiple refills but now I can't get her to message me back and she won't refill the medication. Very confusing and frustrating.
