“I have been to two other dermatologists in NYC and Dr. Yamany is already the best by far. His office was very communicative and friendly. I had a virtual visit and he let me know he was running a few minutes behind for our appointment, which I greatly appreciated.
He read through my forms and discussed everything with me extremely thoroughly, and gave me a solid plan of action to tackle my issue. He took every detail I said seriously and into consideration. It is rare to feel comfortable with and truly heard by doctors these days, I was pleasantly surprised!
Him and his office were also very helpful in figuring out insurance related things in getting a cream I was prescribed from them covered. I will definitely be continuing with my future appointments here and cannot recommend Dr. Yamany enough!!!”

About Dr. Tarek Yamany
Tarek Yamany, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and founder of Yamany Dermatology, a boutique, physician-led dermatology practice in Manhattan’s Flatiron District. He provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care with a focus on evidence-based, personalized treatment. In addition to in-person visits, Dr. Yamany has extensive experience in telehealth dermatology, having cared for thousands of patients virtually.
Dr. Yamany is known for his meticulous, thoughtful approach and his ability to make patients feel seen and cared for. He believes dermatology should be both scientifically grounded and highly personal, combining clinical expertise with genuine compassion.
Dr. Yamany completed his dermatology residency at Columbia University Medical Center, where he continues to serve as a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology, teaching residents in clinic once a month. He earned his medical degree from Rutgers–New Jersey Medical School, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and completed a year-long research fellowship in the genetics of alopecia areata at Columbia University. He also completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Brown University.
Through Yamany Dermatology, Dr. Yamany continues his mission to provide precise, compassionate, and results-driven care — helping patients achieve healthy, confident skin at every stage of life.
