Dr. Tarun Bassi, M.D., is a dedicated physician with extensive training and over 25 years of clinical experience. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Coney Island Hospital. He is double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine and is a diplomat in Integrative Medicine.
As a primary care physician, he understands that many chronic medical issues affecting patients, including hypertension, diabetes, and arthritis, are linked to lifestyle and obesity. His passion for educating patients about the relationship between food and disease, along with his commitment to providing integrated services and comprehensive healthcare, inspired his journey to becoming a weight loss specialist.
As a medical weight loss specialist, Dr. Bassi addresses the four pillars of obesity medicine: nutrition, exercise, behavior modification, and FDA-approved medications. His supportive and caring nature makes him an ideal physician to guide and coach patients through wellness and lifestyle modifications.

I highly recommend Dr. Bassi, he has wonderful bedside manner. I felt listened to and cared for. I feel as though he did thorough testing to get to the bottom of my symptoms. I was also seen right away, did not have to wait longer than 2 minutes. I was also the only patient in the office at the time which felt very personal and intentional. I will definitely keep going back.

The doctor was all business. But explained at every turn. He listened, he asked questions, and he examend. Within 20 minutes he knew what the problem was. he prescribed medications, and now I am on a path of healing. Urgent care could not figure out what was wrong with me. After taking X-rays, and performins many other tests they told me all was well. Very , disappointing!!

I cannot recommend Dr. Bassi highly enough. What truly sets him apart is their outstanding bedside manner and ability to listen. He was incredibly patient and attentive, allowing me to fully explain my symptoms and concerns without interruption. Just had my first visit with Dr. Bassi and I was really impressed! First off, the location was super convenient—only a few minutes from home, which already made the whole experience less stressful. What really stood out, though, was how attentive Dr. Bassi was. I even told him in person that I appreciated how he actually sat and listened to both of the issues I came in for—no rush, no brushing things off. I started seeing Dr Bassi the first of 2024 and I haven’t seen a better doctor in many years. Dr Bassi listens to me and gives me really good information on my medial advice. He really cares about his patients. I would highly recommend him to friends.

My husband and I visited Dr. Bassi for our annual physical. We were new patients, and the nurses and the doctor were very friendly and informative. Dr. Bassi listened to both our concerns and thoroughly reviewed our medical history. He provided a lot of excellent insight and provided us with referrals. I did not feel rushed by the doctor and was very pleased with the experience. I am looking forward in choosing this clinic as my primary care provider for both myself and husband.

I had a great experience from the time I walked in to check in for my appointment the ladies at the front desk were very professional and very friendly. They truly care about their patients, and they are all very attentive and they truly a breath of fresh air in a world where customer service a lot of times can be little to none. Dr. Bassi was amazing. He listens to your concerns, he truly cares and is very warm. He listens to you and is very sympathetic, and empathetic to his patients concerns. He is thorough and such a breath of fresh air. I have not felt that warm and comfortable with a PCP in a long time. I'm used to being rushed and not too much cares for in certain physicians offices in the past. I would truly recommend Dr. Bassi to everyone looking for an overall professional, wonderful experience.

Dr. Bassi is a fresh of breath air in a world of medical providers that barely acknowledge you as a person and are only concerned about their meeting their daily quota. I recommend him to anyone that is looking for a primary care physician that cares about you and is willing to listen and then educate you about your choices. Both Dr. Bassi and his staff are wonderful and I feel fortunate to have found him, which was quite by chance. He is a valuable part of my healthcare team.
