About Dr. Taryn Huizenga
Dr. Huizenga is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She practices medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology and treats both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Huizenga specializes in a wide range of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis and skin cancer detection and prevention. She is a dedicated patient advocate who works closely with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans.
With an eye for natural aesthetics, Dr. Huizenga enjoys helping patients look and feel their best while achieving their cosmetic goals. She is committed to providing comprehensive dermatologic care that combines clinical expertise with a patient-centered approach.
Dr. Huizenga graduated with honors from Michigan State University and earned her Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt before returning to Wayne State University to complete her residency in dermatology.
She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Huizenga has also contributed to the field through publications in several peer-reviewed journals.
