About Dr. Tatyana Petukhova
Tatyana Petukhova, M.D. is board-certified in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She is a specialist in cutaneous oncology and procedural dermatology, including Mohs Micrographic Surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.
Her clinical focus is on skin cancer prevention and treatment, as well as performing rejuvenating cosmetic procedures. She is dedicated to treating all patients with care and compassion to develop an individualized approach of comprehensive dermatologic care. She hopes to ensure the greatest quality of clinical care, balancing surgical approaches for cure with the ultimate cosmetic outcome, while utilizing the latest evidence-based techniques.
Dr. Petukhova received her Bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Cell, and Developmental Biology at Dartmouth College. She then pursued postbaccalaureate intramural research training at the National Institutes of Health in neurobiology. After matriculating in a dual degree program at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, she received her Medical degree and a Master’s degree with special qualifications in clinical research.
Dr. Petukhova completed her internship training at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and her Dermatology residency at the University of California, Davis. During her residency, she completed numerous clinical research studies focusing on skin cancer prevention, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Following residency, she received additional fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and procedural dermatology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Prior to joining UnionDerm, she pursued an academic career for several years as an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical College and the director of the Mohs Micrographic Surgery Laboratory at Weill Cornell Lower Manhattan.

From the front office staff member who was warm, professional and kind to both medical professionals (I’m not remembering if they were nurses or PA’s or medical assistants- but they were superb) who also worked with me, to the wonderful Dr. Petukhova who immediately put me at ease and clearly is an extremely knowledgeable and excellent clinician, I cannot say enough good things about my first visit to this practice. I feel very grateful to have Dr. Petukhova as my dermatologist going forward!

I got an appointment with doctor Petukhova after my friend recommendation. Best decision ever! She got me exactly what I needed. She addressed all my concerns. She made great suggestions that were designed specifically for my skin condition. She followed up after my treatment and show compassion and kindness. I think, that doctor Petukhova will be my dermatologist for a very long time.

Dr. Petukhova is amazing! She is extremely competent and knowledgeable but also super kind and makes you feel at ease. I have seen her several times for cosmetic procedures and her work is impeccable, I could not be happier with the results! She was also very responsible and caring when I had follow-up questions after the treatment. I would highly recommend her.

I just had the new Sofwave treatment to help tighten the jaw line and I love it! Dr. P made sure to make the procedure really comfortable with no pain. I had no swelling and my jaw looks snatched just 2 weeks out, and it’s supposed to get even better. Would recommend her to anyone!
